The University Grant Commission on 12th July 2022, has directed, all the higher educational institutions (HEIs) and its affiliated colleges/institutions to circulate the information on digital skilling initiatives among the students and encourage them to get registered for Digital Skilling Initiatives for their benefit and skill enhancement.
The All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of Education (GoI) has launched a digital skilling initiative (https://internship.aicte-india.org) in emerging and future technologies for skilling, reskilling, upskilling, internship, apprenticeship and employment of one crore students.
AICTE developed an internship portal to facilitate the students in getting suitable internship opportunities for better employability. On this portal, both the students and the industry can register and industries are offering internships to enhance the hands-on-skills of students.
