UGC urges universities to fix admission deadlines post CBSE 12th results.

The University Grant Commission on 12th July 2022, has requested all the higher educational institutions to fix the last date of their under graduate admission process after declaration of result of class Xll by CBSE, in order to provide sufficient time to such students for admission in under graduate courses.

The CBSE conducted Board Examination in two terms i.e term-l and term-ll to nullify the impact of COVID. The performance of term-l has already been communicated to the schools. The evaluation of term-II is going on and process of result preparation will! Start. The final result will be declared by combining the weightage based on the performance of both the terms. The entire process will take about a month period for the declaration of the result.

However, it has come to the notice that some universities have started registration in under graduate courses for the session (2022-2023). In this scenario, the students from CBSE will be deprived of admission in the under graduate courses if the last date is fixed by the universities prior to CBSE result declaration.

Therefore, UGC has requested all the higher educational institutions may fix the last date of their undergraduate admission process, post the CBSE 12th Results.
