CDSCO shall process the application for manufacturing/import of new drugs within 7 working days
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization(CDSCO) vide its notification dated 20th February 2020 has directed all state drug controllers to give bioavailability-bioequivalence (BA/BE) study approvals for export and also approvals for manufacturing, import of new drugs for test and analysis within seven days under the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019.
Draft Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2020 inserts Additional parameters for water standards
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide its notification dated 17th February 2020 has issued the Draft Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2020. Amendments is brought to Schedule-l which specifies the standards for emission or discharge of environmental pollutants.

Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) (Amendment) Rules, 1961 issued to prioritise Kannadigas in Industrial Employments
The Government of Karnataka issued a notification amending the Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Rules 1961, which facilitate priority/preferential appointments of Kannadigas, who are Indian citizens and are residing in Karnataka for not less than 15 years and are able to read, write and speak Kannada language, in industrial establishments subject to suitability, qualification, experience and other requirements.

CDSCO has issued clarification regarding applicability and the processing of application for grant of permission to manufactures under New Drugs and Clinical Trial Rules, 2019.
FSSAI extends the time limit for renewal of an existing license under the proprietary category till 30th June 2020
In its previous circular the Food Business Operators who were holding license for “Proprietary Food” where directed to get the existing license modified to a category of “formulated supplements for children” before the renewal of the existing license. Therefore FSSAI has extended the time limit till 30th June 2020 for the renewal of existing license under proprietary category for such products.
CBIC Issues Advisory on opting-in for composition scheme by filing Form GST CMP-02
