27 Dhantoli hospitals flouted norms: NMC

NAGPUR: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Friday informed the Nagpur bench of Bombay high court that 27 hospitals in Dhantoli have brazenly flouted norms that included gobbling of parking space, unauthorized constructions and violation of FSI and sanctioned plans violation. A division bench comprising Justice Vasanti Naik and Justice AM Badar then adjourned the hearing to June 19. NMC counsel SK Mishra informed that as per court’s directives, they had inspected 49 hospitals in Dhantoli so far, while 21 are still remaining to be inspected. He assured to complete all inspections and submit a comprehensive report in 10 days. The PIL was field by Dhantoli Nagrik Mandal against state government, NMC, collector and others.
