Meghalaya Declares November 6, 2025, as Bank Holiday for Nongkrem Dance

The Government of Meghalaya, through its General Administration (A) Department, has issued an official order declaring November 6, 2025 (Thursday), as a holiday for all banks and financial institutions in the state.

The holiday has been declared under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and will be observed on account of the traditional Nongkrem Dance Festival in the East Khasi Hills District.
