Dynamic Ground Water Resource Assessment Report 2023

The report highlights that out of the total 6553 assessment units in the country, 736 units have been categorized as ‘Over-exploited,’ signaling areas where the extraction of ground water surpasses its replenishment. Notably, there has been a notable increase in ground water recharge, attributed to factors such as canal seepage, the return flow of irrigation water, and recharges from water bodies, tanks, and water conservation structures.

IFSCA constitutes Expert Committee on Transition Finance

Taking into consideration the critical need for transition finance, the development of such financing instruments being at a nascent stage, and lack of globally recognized framework as in the case of green/sustainable labelled debt securities, IFSCA has formed an expert committee on Transition Finance consisting of representation from industry, standard setters, consultants, think tanks etc. to recommend a regulatory framework for transition finance instruments and measures to promote transition finance through GIFT IFSC.

CBIC extends due date to file form GSTR 3B by registered persons in Chennai

CBIC extends the due date for furnishing the return in FORM GSTR 3B for the month of November, 2023 till the twenty-seventh day of December, 2023, for the registered persons whose principal place of business is in the districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram in the state of Tamil Nadu.
