The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals on August 5, 2019, has issued the Poly Aluminium Chloride (Quality Control) Order, 2019, to provide Standard Mark and Specification for Poly Aluminium Chloride.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) will issue and assign, an Indian Standard Mark ‘IS 15573 : 2018’ to Poly Aluminium Chloride, in accordance with the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
However, no such certification will be required of the Poly Aluminium Chloride meant for export and having specifications as per foreign buyers. Further, along with BIS, District Industries Centre in the Department of Industries of the State Government is also authorized for enforcing Standard Mark requirement.
The Order shall be enforceable on the one hundred and eighty-first day from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
