The Bureau of Energy Efficiency has notified the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Tubular Fluorescent Lamps), (Regulations), 2023 on 22nd June, 2023. These Regulations will come into force from 23rd June, 2023.
Every tubular fluorescent lamp shall have the following particulars displayed on its label:
(a) the logo of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency;
(b) name of manufacturer or importer and brand;
(c) size of tubular fluorescent lamp and colour temperature;
(d) trade name and number;
(e) model and year of manufacturing or import;
(f) unique series code;
(g) rated power in Watts ;
(h) star level of the tubular fluorescent lamp;
(i) luminous efficacy in lm/W;
(j) label period;
(k) electricity savings in kWh;
(l) CO2 emission reduction in KgCO2
The design, colour, size and content of label shall be as specified in these regulations.
A label containing all these particulars shall be displayed on every self-ballasted LED lamp by 23rd December, 2023.
