Licenses granted by the Appropriate Commission and deemed licenses will be deemed renewed, unless revoked, for a period of twenty-five years at a time.

Central Government Sets Energy Consumption Norms for Designated Consumers

The specified designated consumers will now have specific energy consumption norms and standards to follow. These norms and standards have been established in relation to the current level of energy consumption. The baseline energy consumption norms and standards serve as a reference point for comparison.

Draft Electricity (Amendment) Rules, 2023

It is proposed that the facility to establish, operate or maintain dedicated transmission lines without the requirement of license may be allowed for bulk consumers having specified quantum of load and Electricity Storage Systems (ESS). A new rule is proposed to that no transmission licence will be required for the dedicated transmission line to connect large consumer (like Green Hydrogen Producer) and ESS.

MNRE to hold International Conference on Green Hydrogen 

The fundamental aim of the Conference is to explore how to establish a Green Hydrogen ecosystem and foster a systemic approach for meeting the global goals for decarbonization through Green Hydrogen. The conference will be held from 5th to 7th July, 2023.
