Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Procurement of Firm and Dispatchable Power from Grid Connected Renewable Energy Power Projects with Energy Storage Systems
The guidelines specifically focus on the procurement of firm and dispatchable power from grid-connected RE power projects. The scope of these guidelines extends to the long-term procurement of firm and dispatchable power by Procurers, such as DISCOMs, from Renewable Power Projects through competitive bidding.

The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) has blacklisted Learnet Skills Ltd. (formerly, IL&FS Skills Development Corporation Limited) from participating in its activities. This notice was issued on 5th June, 2023 and is effective from 2nd September, 2022.
Notice for removal of difficulties in the implementation of the EPR Guidelines for Plastic Packaging
Provisions for accounting of plastic packaging sold by producers to unregistered brand owners, for assessment of EPR target, have been made on the EPR portal. Provisional EPR target shall be generated at the time of registration. The final EPR target shall be provided during the annual return filing based on provision of complete details of sale to unregistered brand owners. This facility is available to producers who register on the EPR portal up till 30th June, 2023.
Ministry of New & Renewable Energy Revises Dispute Resolution Mechanism for Renewable Energy Projects
The new Dispute Resolution Mechanism aims to establish a transparent and unbiased process through an independent Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC). The committee, consisting of eminent individuals of impeccable integrity, will be set up with the approval of the Minister of New & Renewable Energy.
MNRE further updates its list of Approved Manufacturers and Models of Solar Photovoltaic Modules
The Ministry has recently issued major reforms in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) of Solar Photovoltaic Modules. These reforms include, the enlistment of only those models of Solar PV Module Manufacturers under ALMM that comply with BIS Standards and maintain minimum prescribed module efficiency.
Steps taken to remove logistical constraints in coal supply chain
