The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO), Government of India has issued certain Conditions of Approval regarding Multiple LPG cylinder manufacturing units within the same premises under the same ownership.
These conditions are as follows:
i. All the manufacturing units will be separated by each other through, at least a 3M high compound wall and the entrance of all such units will be independent.
ii. Each manufacturing unit shall have separate necessary and adequate
machinery, equipment and manpower.
iii. Approval granted shall be withdrawn if cylinders are manufactured in one unit are found in other unit or units.
iv. These manufacturing units under the same ownership and location may have a common storage for raw materials and scrap.
v. If the license of any unit is expired or cancelled by Bureau of Indian
Standards (BIS), then, PESO will withdraw the approval and units will not be allowed to supply the cylinders.
vi. The Applicant shall declare the manufacturing capacity of each unit which will be evaluated by BIS & PESO. Each unit is required to have a separate electric meter for consumption of electricity and furnace fuel.
