The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has announced a further extension for all entities registered on the Waste Tyre EPR Portal to file their returns for the financial year 2024-25. The deadline for submitting both quarterly and annual returns, previously set for June 30, 2025, has been extended until August 15, 2025.
The notice is addressed to all registered entities under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022. These entities can now complete their filings for the Financial Year 2024-25 on the Waste Tyre EPR Portal until the new deadline.
The CPCB has warned that failure to comply with the new deadline will result in appropriate action being taken under the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986. The notice also clarifies that during this extension period, the generation and transfer of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Certificates will continue to be carried out on the portal.
