Critical Care on Wheels: Unveiling BLS and ALS Ambulances in Goa

Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Power grid WR-1, 6 Basic Life Support (BLS) and 2 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances will be inaugurated by the Health Minister, at Vanbhavan-Altino Panaji, Goa, on March 12, 2024, at 11:00 am. The event will be attended by representatives of Power grid, the Director, and other officials from the Directorate of Health Services. This Notification was published on 11.03.2024.

Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances, which are essential for providing emergency medical care, will be distributed to various healthcare facilities. Specifically, 2 ambulances will be allocated to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chicalim, 1 ambulance to Community Health Centre (CHC) Pernem, 1 ambulance to CHC Canacona, and 1 ambulance each to Primary Health Centres (PHC) in Siolim, Quepem, and Corlim. Additionally, Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, designed to assist patients with cardiac conditions, will be allocated to the 108 cell.
