Digital Health Profile Card for all in Telangana soon

Chief Minister of Telangana has instructed authorities to create a Digital Health record for all residents in the state, emphasizing the need for appropriate actions. The Chief Minister proposed the integration of a distinct identifier with the digital health profile card to facilitate essential medical assistance during emergencies. Additionally, the health profile card will be associated with the Arogyasri. This Notification was published on 29.01.2024.

The Chief Minister addressed the concern of eliminating the obligatory necessity of a white ration card for accessing Arogyasri benefits. This stipulation led to a disproportionate surge in applications for new white ration cards across the state. Authorities have been instructed to implement a unified policy, facilitating the establishment of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Paramedical colleges within the confines of Medical colleges in the near future. CM has urgently mandated the swift completion of TIMS Super Specialty Hospitals in Warangal, LB Nagar, Sanath Nagar, and Alwal. Stressing the integration of medical colleges with hospitals to address doctor shortages, he probed officials on pending medical, nursing, and para-medical college launches, suggesting Kodangal for new establishments. Emphasizing comprehensive medical services at Bibinagar’s AIIMS for Khammam, Warangal, and Nalgonda districts, he instructed officials to inspect and report on AIIMS. Promoting decentralized medical facilities, CM urged continued Arogyasri services in medical colleges and strategic CSR fund usage by Pharma companies for hospital upkeep. He directed regular Arogyasri bill clearance, ensuring timely payments for healthcare staff, and optimizing 108 and 102 services.
