The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on 29 November 2019 has published the minutes of the meeting held with Third Party E-commerce platform providers on 18.11.2019. The Minutes clarifies that E-commerce businesses providing platform for food businesses shall qualify as an FBO.
The third Party E-commerce platform providers shall also obtain FSSAI license for food business. They shall also ensure that all FBO’s using their platform possess FSSAI license and any default noticed shall be intimated to FSSAI. The FSSAI license of the FBO and every product sold shall be displayed in the website of all the food business entities.
