The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) notified an extension in validity of Prior Standard of Rubber Gasket for Pressure Cooker. This extension is granted until April 19, 2024. This notification was issued on November 28, 2023.
It may be recalled that BIS had issued a revision in IS 7466 : 2023 Rubber Gasket for Pressure Cooker-Specification. This revision was dated April 20, 2023 (Published on April 24, 2023).
The revision notification stated that the previous standard, i.e. IS 7466 : 1994 Rubber Gaskets for Pressure Cookers — Specification (First Revision) would remain in force till October 19, 2023.
Now, by the present notification, this date has been extended until April 19, 2024. Hence, the IS 7466 : 1994 Rubber Gaskets for Pressure Cookers — Specification (First Revision) will remain valid till April 19, 2024.
