Extension of due dates for filing GST returns

In view of the disturbances caused to daily life by Cyclone Titli in the district of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, and by Cyclone Gaza in eleven districts of Tamil Nadu viz., Cuddalore, Thiruvarur, Puddukottai, Dindigul, Nagapatinam, Theni, Thanjavur, Sivagangai, Tiruchirappalli, Karur and Ramanathapuram, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has decided to extend the due dates for filing various GST returns. Due dates of following returns have been extended:

FORM GSTR-3B (Notification No. 62/2018 – Central Tax)

Taxpayers having  principal place of business in the district of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, can file the return for the months of September and October, 2018 till 30th November, 2018.

Taxpayers having principal place of business in the 11 specified districts of Tamil Nadu, can file return for the month of October, 2018 till 20th December, 2018.

FORM GSTR-1 (Notification No. 64/2018 – Central Tax)

Due date for filing GSTR-1 has been extended for taxpayers having aggregate turnover of more than 1.5 crore rupees.

Taxpayers having  principal place of business in the district of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, can file the return for the months of September and October, and for the quarter July-September, 2018 till 30th November, 2018.

Taxpayers having principal place of business in the 11 specified districts of Tamil Nadu, can file return for the month of October, 2018 till 20th December, 2018.

FORM GSTR-4 (Notification No. 65/2018 – Central Tax)

Taxpayers having  principal place of business in the district of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, can file the return for the quarter July to September, 2018, till 30th November, 2018.

FORM GSTR-7 (Notification No. 66/2018 – Central Tax)

All taxpayers, irrespective of their place of business, can file the return till 31stJanuary, 2019, for the months October to December, 2018.
