Fire at CNMC Hospital

KOLKATA: A fire broke out at Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital around 1pm on Sunday. The fire was first noticed at a sister’s room on the third floor of Raja Rammohan Roy block.

It created panic as a ward, full of patients, was adjacent to the sister’s room. Fire brigade was informed. However, the security guards of the hospital were able to extinguish the fire on time. It is suspected that the fire was caused by a short-circuit.
