Food Safety and Standards Authority of India Vide press release dated May 12, 2020 has clarified that there is a need to counter myths and misinformation regarding transmission of Covid 19 through food. The FSSAI has directed the State/UT governments not to enforce measures contrary to the guidelines and no measures shall be discriminatory. The FBOs are directed to act in accordance with the guidance received in the training provided by FSSAI.
