The Goa Department of Tourism vide its circular dated 2nd July 2020 has permitted registered hotels and accommodation spaces which has an isolation facility to allow tourists for the accommodation, who have opted for COVID-19 test, Such guest has to be accommodated in the isolation facility until the result of the test is obtained.
The government has given the detailed Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines to all the hotels and other accommodation spaces that are to be strictly followed by them and only those hotels complying with the SOP will be permitted to commence their business activity
The list of permitted hotels will be made available at the website of the department at goatourism.gov.in and the department will undertake periodic inspections of such hotel units for verification of the compliance of the SOP/Guidelines. Any violations to this circular shall bring in penal provisions for the hoteliers, and cancellation of the license can take place under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1982.
