The Government of Goa on 30th June 2022, has notified the Preferential Purchase Incentives for Micro and Small Enterprises Scheme, 2022 in supersession of Preferential Purchase Incentives for Micro and Small Enterprises Scheme, 2008.
The main objective of this scheme is to encourage and give boost to Micro and Small Scale Enterprise Sector. Non compliance of provisions of this scheme shall be viewed seriously and the officer concerned shall be personally held liable.
Only those Micro and Small-Scale Enterprises in manufacturing and service sector, situated with their units in Goa, having Udyam registration with Directorate of Industries, Trade & Commerce shall be eligible for the benefit under this scheme. The eligible units shall be allowed to match to lowest tender price floated by noneligible units provided its quoted price is within 15% of lowest quoted price by noneligible units.
Explanation: (a) In case of more than one eligible units falling within the range, the lowest one shall be preferred. For the purpose of availing benefit under this scheme, the Micro and Small Enterprises shall be required to match standard of quality as required by the State Government Department and be liable for all manufacturing guarantees, warranties, servicing as applicable for the item. The scheme shall be applicable even for purchase of computer hardware and other electronic items except in cases of purchases of Education Department, under this scheme.
