The Governor of Gujarat has issued notification on 23rd November, 2023 for the Rules for Lady Officer, Industrial Safety and Health, Class II, in the Gujarat Industrial Safety and Health Service, under the Directorate Industrial Safety and Health, Gujarat State Recruitment Rules, 2023. These rules pertain to the recruitment process for the post of Lady Officer, Industrial Safety and Health, Class II.
The appointment to this post will be made through direct selection. To be eligible for direct selection, candidates must meet certain criteria. They should not be more than 40 years of age, although this age limit may be relaxed for candidates already in the service of the Government of Gujarat. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare, Labour Studies, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare, Labour and Social Welfare, Labour Management, or Social Work, obtained from a recognized university or educational institution. They should also have basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Additionally, candidates should have around three years of experience in welfare activities in various sectors. They should also have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Female candidates are eligible for this recruitment. Once appointed, candidates will be on probation for a period of two years and will be required to undergo pre-service training, pass post-training examinations, and demonstrate computer competency. They will also be required to pass an examination in Hindi or Gujarati or both and undergo further training and examinations as prescribed by the government. Finally, candidates will be required to furnish a security and surety bond as determined by the government.
