Haryana government mandates hospitals to notify the health department about the cases of Influenza A H1N1

The State Government of Haryana in its Notification dated 19th November 2019 has published the Haryana Epidemic Diseases, Influenza A H1N1 Regulation, 2019, which shall be valid for three years from the date of publication.

Under these regulations, it is obligatory on the part every hospital (Government/Private) to notify the health department of Haryana through respective Civil Surgeons about all cases of ILI (Influenza like illness) in category –B of Influenza A H1N1. In a Confirmed Case of Influenza A H1N1 being reported in their institution, affected patient shall be provided treatment as per Protocol and Guidelines of Government of India without waiting for the laboratory results of such cases. All cases of Influenza A H1N1 whether Suspected or Confirmed should be kept in isolation to avoid any spread of the disease.

All Hospital/Medical Colleges should have Screening Centers (Flu corner) so that the ARI/ILI patient is screened at the earliest.

Any person/institution or organization disobeying any regulation or order made under this act shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under Section 188 of Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860). District Administration can Penalize Person/ Institution or Organization found disobeying the regulations or orders made under this act.
