The Haryana Government, Transport Department through notification dated 22nd July, 2021 has issued the Haryana Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2021. The amendment has listed the officers of the Motor Vehicles Department who can exercise the powers of challan as per the rules. The challaning officers of the Police Department of and above the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector will also be deemed to be challaning officers outside municipal cities and municipal towns.
The notification shall come into effect immediately.
