The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India vide its press release dated 10th May 2021 has advised the health insurers to continue offering corona kavach and corona Rakshak Policies and also to renew these policies.
The Corona Kavach is an indemnity-based product, Corona Rakshak is a benefit based product launched by IRDAI, however, the insures are denying to renew their policies and based on the receipt of complaint , it has now clarified that all General and Health Insurers are mandated to continue offering these two policies and renew the same.
