Ministry of Home Affairs issues unlock-4 guidelines.

The Ministry of Home Affairs on 29th August 2020 has issued guidelines on unlock-4, for opening up more activities in areas outside the containment zones which shall come into effect from 1st September 2020. The new guidelines are based on feedback received from States and UTs, and extensive consultations held with related Central Ministries and Departments. 

As per the guidelines, there shall be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of persons and goods and no separate permission/ approval/ e-permit will be required for such movements.

Social/academic/sports/entertainment/cultural/religious/ political functions & other congregations will be permitted with a ceiling of 100 persons, from 21 September and Skill and entrepreneurship training are permitted in National Skill Training

All activities, except the following, shall be permitted outside containment zones:

  • Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres (excluding open-air theatre) and similar places.
  • International air travel of passengers, except as permitted by MHA.

Further, there shall be no restriction on inter-state and intrastate for cross land-border trade under treaties with neighbouring countries.
