The Ministry of Labour and Employment has issued a Notification on 17th October 2019, for extending the status of public utility services to industrial establishments manufacturing or producing Nuclear Fuel and components, Heavy Water and Allied Chemicals and Atomic Energy, which are covered under item 28 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, for the purposes of the said Act for a further period of six months.
In its earlier notification dated 24th April 2019, has stated that these industrial establishments enjoy status of public utility service for a period of 6 months from 24th April 2019. The ministry Vide this Notification has extended status of public utility service to the aforesaid industrial establishments for a further period of further six months with effect from the 24th October, 2019.
