The Odisha State Transport Authority through a notification dated 23rd September, 2019 has banned issuance of manual certificate by vehicle pollution testing units from 30th September, 2019.
The vehicle owners shall obtain the emission test certificate generated online through VAHAN database from 1st October, 2019 and can show the online PUC certificate in an electronic form through mParivahan app, instead of carrying the document in physical form.
A total of 163 authorized Pollution Testing Centres are available throughout the state, of which 106 have already been linked with VAHAN to issue online PUC Certificates, while 14 new Pollution Testing Centres have been authorized after September 1, 2019.
