Jaipur: The state appropriate authority (PCPNDT) has instructed district appropriate authority of Pali to investigate into a complaint related to a private hospital allegedly using sonography machines without its registration issued by appropriate authority.

State appropriate authority (PCPNDT) Navin Jain, in a letter to district collector of Pali mentioned that he had received a report in the matter from chief medical health officer. The investigation was ordered on the complaint by one Brij Mohan Sharma.
He alleged that sub divisional magistrate of Pali had issued registration to the hospital for sonography machines. He alleged that SDMs have no powers to do so. In this case, the registration is null and void. “Without any registration, it is a crime to operate sonography machines,” Sharma said. He said that the sonography machine in the hospital should be seized and also demanded action against SDM and the hospital for alleged violation of the PCPNDT Act.
