Rescission of BIS Quality Control Order for Viscose Staple Fibres

The Ministry of Textiles has rescinded the Quality Control Order (QCO) relating to Viscose Staple Fibres (VSF) that was earlier notified through S.O. 6143(E) dated 29 December 2022.

  • Manufacturers, importers, and distributors of VSF can suspend ongoing BIS certification processes, unless required voluntarily or under contractual obligations.
  • Existing stock previously manufactured or imported under the earlier QCO may continue to be treated as compliant.
