Scheme for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP)

The Department of Commerce through circular dated 17 August 2021 has introduced a Scheme for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products(RoDTEP). The object of the scheme is to refund the un-refunded:

1. Duties and Taxes levied on exported products by central, state or local governments.
2. Prior stage cumulative indirect tax levied on goods and services used for production of export goods.
3. Indirect taxes/duties and levies paid for distribution of export products.

The rebate shall be subject to compliance with time limit for receipt of sale proceeds provided under the FEMA.
