The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice requesting that all medical colleges and institutions take steps to effectively disseminate and utilize 157 newly developed Standard Treatment Workflows (STWs). These STWs, created by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in collaboration with the National Health Authority (NHA) and the World Health Organization (WHO), are designed to establish a consistent standard of care across 28 medical specialties in the Indian public health system.
AIIMS Mangalagiri to Host National Conclave on Patient Safety

NMC Releases Final MBBS Seat Matrix for 2025-26, Adds Over 5,700 New Seats
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the final undergraduate (MBBS) seat matrix for the academic year 2025-26, prepared by the Medical Assessment & Rating Board (MARB). The new matrix, which is now available on the NMC website, shows a significant net increase of 5,794 seats, bringing the total number of MBBS seats across the country to 123,700, up from 117,750 in the previous academic year.

This certificate is a prerequisite for candidates intending to appear for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Screening Test, which is scheduled to be held in the coming months by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. NEET-UG 2025 Counselling Schedule Released, Academic Session to Begin September 1
The counselling schedule for NEET-UG 2025 admissions has been released, outlining the complete timeline for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc (Nursing) courses for the academic year 2025-26. To ensure timely completion of the process, all participating institutes and colleges have been directed to treat Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted Holidays as working days. The academic session is set to commence on September 1, 2025.
