NABL Launches New Medical Application Portal for Lab Accreditation

The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a constituent board of the Quality Council of India (QCI), has launched a new Medical Application Portal for laboratories seeking accreditation under ISO 15189:2022. The new online portal was unveiled at a virtual event called “GOING LIVE,” representing a major step toward enhancing ease, efficiency, and transparency in the accreditation process.

PCI Mandates QCI Ranking & Rating for UG & D. Pharm Pharmacy Colleges

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has announced that all pharmacy institutions offering undergraduate (UG) and Diploma (D.Pharm) programs must undergo a mandatory ranking and rating process conducted by the Quality Council of India (QCI). Non-compliance will result in severe consequences, including being placed in a “No admission category” from the 2026-2027 academic session.

PCI and QCI Launch Ranking and Rating for Both D. Pharma and B. Pharm Colleges

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Quality Council of India (QCI) are expanding their collaborative efforts to include the ranking and rating of undergraduate (UG) pharmacy colleges offering the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program, in addition to the previously announced ranking for Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) institutions. These circulars were issued on May 20, 2025.

PCI Partners with QCI for Outcome-Focused Third-Party Assessment of D. Pharmacy Colleges

The PCI has joined forces with the Quality Council of India (QCI) to develop a state-of-the-art assessment system that emphasizes both regulatory adherence and educational outcomes. The PCI has informed pharmacy colleges offering the Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy) course that the third-party assessment process for the Academic Year 2025-26 has commenced, and their institutions have been deemed eligible for evaluation.
