As per the recent amendment in The Andhra Pradesh Legal Metrology Enforcement Rules, 2019, every licence issued to a manufacturer, repairer, or dealer shall be valid for a minimum period of one calendar year and may be renewed from one calendar year to three calendar years, by the Controller or such other Legal Metrology Officer on payment of prescribed fee for each calendar year.
The application for renewal shall be made before 30 days from the date of expiry, after which addition fee will be payable. However, any person can make application for renewal within 30 days after the date of expiry, if the Controller allows and on payment of additional fees.
