The Competition Commission of India vide notification dated 30th October 2019, has issued the Competition Commission of India (Procedure in regard to the transaction of business relating to combinations) Second Amendment Regulations, 2019.
As per the regulation, parties to the combination shall give notice in Form I and Form II to the commission while forming a combination, along with prescribed fee.
Alteration is brought to Regulation 11, which deals with Amount of fee payable to the commission while filing Form I & Form II.
As per the amendment,
- Where a Notice is Filed in Form I, the fee payable is increased from Rupees fifteen lakh to Rupees twenty lakh (Rs. 20, 00,000).
- Where a Notice is filed in Form II, the fee payable is increased from Rupees fifty lakhs to Rupees sixty five lakh Rs. 65, 00,000).
