The Securities and Exchange Board of India vide notification dated 11th January, 2021 has issued the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Investment Advisers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021. For the purpose of the grant of Investment Advisors registration certificate, the Board shall take into account all matters which are relevant. The amendment provides that the Board shall consider whether the applicant is a body or body corporate recognized for the purpose of regulating investment advisers.
