The Government of Tripura has updated the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for various worker categories based on the six-month average Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 129 points, effective April 1, 2024. This revision, outlined in notifications dated November 24, 2023, adjusts wages for workers in sectors such as shops and establishments, private security guards, agriculture, beedi industry, and construction. Additionally, daily rates are calculated by dividing the monthly wage by 26 and rounding up. Overtime pay remains double the regular rate. These changes ensure fair compensation adjusted to inflationary pressures.
