Haryana Labour Board Approves Benefit Disbursement in Death and Disability Cases

The Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has issued a circular allowing disbursement of benefits in select death and disability cases, despite the ongoing hold on general welfare schemes and worker registrations.

This follows the approval of the Competent Authority, in continuation of the Board’s earlier letter No. HBOCWWB/2025/6310-6377 dated 10.07.2025.

  • Benefits will be processed only in cases of:
    • Death at the workplace
    • Disability due to accident during employment
  • Applies to both registered and unregistered construction workers.
  • All claims must be verified thoroughly with proper documentation before disbursement.

💼 1. For Registered Construction Workers

Eligibility Conditions:

  2. FIR copy regarding the accident.

  5. Inquiry report from the concerned area officer.
  6. Proof of nominee/legal heir (e.g., affidavit or legal document).

  4. Employer’s statement about the incident
  5. Inquiry report by the area officer
  6. Nominee/legal heir certificate

All district and area officers are directed to verify the cases thoroughly under their jurisdiction and ensure:

  • All required documents are authentic and complete
  • Verification reports are attached
  • Cases are submitted only after due diligence

This relaxation applies only to the cases listed above and does not affect the general hold on other welfare benefits and registrations.
