The Government of West Bengal has notified to setup an expert committee for conducting the Audit of the death caused due to Dengue. The expert committee is comprised of:
- Director of Medical Education, Health and Family Welfare Department (H&FW Department)
- Director of Health Services, H&FW Department-Convenor
- Advisor, H&FW Department
- Prof. Bibhuti Saha, HoD, Department of Tropical Medicines, School of Tropical Medicines, Kolkata
- Prof. Jyotirmoy Pal, Department of Medicines, R G Kar Medical College and Hospital
All health facilities will submit all the necessary documents as required by committee to determine the cause of death. The committee will function with immediate effect and will examine every document including death certificate, treatment history, laboratory investigation etc. for determining whether death was caused due to Dengue. The committee will meet as and when required.
