In a major push to enhance employment opportunities for India’s youth, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zepto, the rapid commerce delivery platform. The agreement aims to expand employment avenues and improve employability through the National Career Service (NCS) Portal.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi.

- 10,000 Job Postings: Zepto will provide 10,000 job opportunities during the MoU period.
- Focus on Urban Youth: Jobs will target urban employment, especially for youth, women, and first-time job seekers.
- Formalization & Social Security: Gig workers will be linked to e-Shram, social security schemes, and upskilling initiatives.
- Tech Integration: NCS to be strengthened with AI tools to offer customized job-matching and location-based opportunities.

“The NCS platform is a unique bridge between employers and job-seekers. With over 52 lakh employers and nearly 7.5 crore vacancies mobilized since inception, it is now a one-stop solution for employment-related services.”
He added that this MoU with Zepto will open new windows of opportunity and deepen the Ministry’s engagement with the platform economy.
