No Fees To Be Charged For Continuing Nursing Education
The INC has therefore categorically stated that SNRCs shall not charge any fees from either the nursing institutions conducting CNEs or from nurses. Additionally, the INC will launch a portal for uploading information by nursing institutions on the CNE. The SNRCs will be able to use the portal to check the CNE details of the nurses and renew their registrations.

The University Grants Commission (UGC), in its continued effort to enhance the quality of higher education in India, has introduced the UGC (Recognition of Colleges under Clause (f) of Section 2 of the UGC Act) Regulations, 2023. The 2023 Regulations, set to come into force upon their publication in the Gazette of India, supersede previous guidelines in this domain. They apply to all colleges defined under Section 12A(1)(b) of the UGC Act, 1956, encompassing a broad spectrum of institutions offering undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D. programs, or Diploma courses.

NMC Urges Action on Pending Applications for Eligibility Certificates
The NMC has identified applicants who have proceeded abroad without obtaining the requisite Eligibility Certificate. To rectify this, the EMRB is extending a 10-day grace period for these applicants to submit their applications through the NMC eligibility portal. Hence these applicants can submit their applications up till January 5, 2024.

Exit Examination for D.Pharm Course for 2022-2024 Academic Session
The PCI has emphasised that the candidates who have been admitted in the 2022-2023 academic session for D.Pharm Course and who will pass out in 2023-2024 academic session will not be able to register as registered pharmacists until they fulfill certain criteria.
PCI Extends Opening of Portal for Approvals for 2024-2025
