Pharmacy Colleges Get Extension for QCI Ranking & Rating Registration

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has announced an extension for the registration deadline for pharmacy colleges offering undergraduate programs, as part of the ongoing ranking and rating initiative by the Quality Council of India (QCI). The registration link will now remain active until June 15, 2025.

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has announced modifications, changes, and updates to its digital platform, aimed at improving user experience and streamlining processes for stakeholders. These updates include a new official website address, an enhanced grievance redressal module, a username retrieval facility, and a profile update feature on the DIGI-PHARMed portal.

PCI and QCI Launch Ranking and Rating for Both D. Pharma and B. Pharm Colleges

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Quality Council of India (QCI) are expanding their collaborative efforts to include the ranking and rating of undergraduate (UG) pharmacy colleges offering the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program, in addition to the previously announced ranking for Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) institutions. These circulars were issued on May 20, 2025.

PCI Announces Inspection and Affiliation Fees for New Pharmacy Institutions

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued guidelines outlining the inspection and affiliation fees applicable to new pharmacy institutions seeking approval for Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) courses. The PCI clarifies that this Inspection Fee is in addition to the annual “Affiliation Fee,” which stands at ₹15,000 per course. Therefore, new institutions will be required to remit both fees.

PCI Partners with QCI to Overhaul Pharmacy College Rankings

The new ranking system will apply to both undergraduate (UG) programs and Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) courses. The PCI has already taken steps to ensure the system’s robustness and transparency, including pilot-testing draft criteria and parameters with select pharmacy institutes across different regions. For the UG program ranking, the collaboration has formulated 11 criteria and associated parameters for evaluation.
